face time.

face time.

(Un)mask yourself.

With wedding season in full swing next week, I thought of writing a post to get that glow back in our skin! One cannot get enough of face masks, right? It’s the best way to pamper our skin.

These are my top 6 face masks and I will give each of them a breakdown, it’s value for money and what it’s perfect for.

So here we go…

1. 5 minute thermal mask by Sanctuary Spa
Review: the warmth of this self-heating masks helps to open up the pores so the charcoal help draw out impurities from deep within the skin and you only need to spare 5 minutes for this beauty to work! This product also comes in a handy travel sachet too.

Value for money? £10.20 per bottle. A deep cleansing, purifying mask that REALLY works? Priceless.

Perfect for? Giving skin a well- deserved clean. I recommend this mask as a weekly part of your skincare regime.

2. Fuller’s Earth powder
Review: Fuller’s earth makes an excellent cleansing and possesses highly absorbent qualities. It is rich minerals and when applied to the skin in the form of a paste, it helps improve circulation; it hardens slowly as it dries, and absorbing the dead cells on top of the skin and dries up any excess oil. Mix 1 tbsp of Fuller’s earth with 1 tbsp of rose water and mix together to form a paste.

Value for money? £8.99 per kilo. Yes! A perfect natural remedy to clear skin!

Perfect for? Great for oily skin, blemishes and acne. Do not use fuller’s earth mask if you have a very dry or sensitive skin. It’s highly absorbent property is something which a dry or sensitive skin can hardly take.

3. No. 7 Heavenly hydration by Boots
Review: This looks like whipped cream and feels, genuinely, like food for your face. Containing vitamins A, C and E, plus apple extract, it promises to “soften and soothe, lift and brighten” – and it sure does.

Value for money? Absolutely. There aren’t many things you could buy for £14 that can make such an immediate difference to your look (or your mood). The clever “whipped” effect means it’ll go that extra mile, too.

Perfect for? Busy bees. There’s no awkward peeling or drying required – simply slather on, leave for 3 minutes and tissue off. It’s really just like an extra creamy moisturiser that will leave your skin feeling instantly softer and refreshed.

4. Queen Helene Vitamin C and Honey peel off mask
Review: Pure wholesome honey to help replace lost moisture, together with the antioxidant benefits of Vitamin C, in an easy to use peel off masque. Within Minutes after application, Vitamin C & Honey Peel Off Masque dries to a peelable film that clears clogged pores to reveal cleaner, smoother, younger looking skin. Your skin feels refreshed and moisturised.

Value for money? Only £4.80 per bottle, it’s a steal!

Perfect for? Giving skin a well-deserved moisture boost, we recommend this mask as a weekly part of your skincare regime. Blemish-prone skin that’s in need of a spring clean. This particular mask has been discontinued Queen Helene, you can buy a similar one here.

5. Dermalogica skin hydrating mask by Dermalogica

Review: Packed with nourishing botanical ingredients, this fuss-free and fragrance-free facial mask injects moisture and radiance into stressed-out complexions in one speedy application. It’s gentle enough to use on a regular basis and I love the fact that’s its kind enough to apply around the eye area too.

Value for money? £31.90 per bottle Absolutely – a little goes a long way.

Perfect for? Product minimalists, sensitive skin or fuss-free beauty fans that don’t like heavily scented products.

6. Eve Lom rescue mask by SNK
Review: This Eve Lom Rescue Mask is a clay-based deep-cleansing mask is the perfect weekly spring-clean for tired, stressed out skin. Deep-cleansing and calming, it will give an instant boost to tired complexions and leave skin glowing. Cooling Camphor soothes and decongests, Almond extract reduces redness, and gently exfoliates, Kaolin absorbs excess oil and evens out skin tone.

Value for money? £35.00-£55.00 per bottle, This is definitely a lavish spend and while I agree there are more value for money face masks, if you’re looking for a really quality purchase with noticeable results, this is a good buy.

Perfect for? While designed to moisturise and tone the skin, I think this is the perfect pick-me-up before getting ready for a wedding as it really plumps and refreshes the skin.

So that’s the low down on all the face masks I love and use regularly!
